Truth about the Halloween or the Celebration of Life.

Oct. 31 is behind, and with that date is a Halloween the holiday that is celebrated on this day. Perhaps many have heard about this day, when children roam through the streets dressed in costume. These kids go from house to house shouting "Trick or Treat", which means "pay off, and then enchant" in order to collect the treats. You could see the glowing skull and pumpkin costumes in front of houses, skeletons on the trees, the images of witches and ghosts on the doors and windows of houses. At this time, the streets become an ominous color.

Anything that seems fun, is nothing more than a day of worship the Death, rooted deep in history. Halloween originated among Celtic peoples (Bretons, Gauls, Scots and Irish people) long before the birth of Christ. These peoples had a tradition - to celebrate the end of the summer, making sacrifices to their god Samana (Co-Wayne). He was "lord of death and evil spirits." On this day, the celebration of the New Year was held. At that time the Druid priests performed the ceremony devil worship, during which the horses, black sheep, buffalo, and people were sacrifices. They were placed in individual cages and burned wholly. This was all done to appease the Samana and protect the worshipers from evil spirits.

But there were also those who are among the death are to celebrate the life. Church "Ark" held on that day a holiday, for children and their parents, calling it "a night without fear - a celebration of life." On that day instead of cursing the people's lives the salvation in Jesus Christ came. In order for celebration to happen, the whole church participated, especially children and young people, because they know what is happening on this day in schools and homes. Prior to date a hundreds of invitations were distributed to friends, classmates, as well as passers-by in nearby stores. Invitations were sent by email and through Facebook. The harmful side of Halloween and about the upcoming celebration of life was mentioned in the broadcast of the pastor of Vera Login at the radio AM 1330 to Chicago listeners..

On Sunday, right after the main service the decoration preparation started. The stage was decorated with columns of balloons, sound and light effects. Walls were decorated with blue and red cloths, and the chapel was reorganized for game activity. While the chapel have been decorated, children and teenagers went to the streets and invited the people to take part in holiday - it was an effective way to attract the people. When the children and their parents entered in church, they were given the T-shirts with the inscription "Love" on on. Those T-shirts were worn right away over the scary costumes of Halloweens. Immediately upon the entering all the guests were given the tickets lottery, which was an easy way to count the number of those present.

The celebration began with a ceremonial welcome leading Victorian Login to music of youth group band, then the children played games, getting prizes for it. Their parents at this time filled the card for contacts and further contact. After the games, was presented a drama skit, the meaning of which was that if you're lonely, scared, rejected, then you can always come to Jesus Christ, and without fear you may communicate with him and receive healing. Later, children and adults listened to a visual sermon Steve Login, in which he compared the man and his heart set on a table with the pumpkins next to it. While Jesus is not in the heart, it is full of all dirt and impurities that need to be ejected from the heart. Steve explained that, while cleaning out the contents of the pumpkin. After that, he carved a pumpkin eyes, nose and mouth in a smile and put a candle inside - just like the people, when they receive Jesus Christ - they start to smile and shine to the others. At the end of his sermon the audience was invited to pray with a prayer of repentance to be freed from sin and get a real light in their life. Youth worship team finished the prayer with song as symbol of triumph and victory. The holiday was concluded with handing of the prizes to the lucky lottery winners.

The festival organizers are pleased that everything went as it was planned. The church reached the goal - to have new people to meet their Savior Jesus Christ. Church members were satisfied with the result, although some of them had to spend long nights, planning and preparing this event.

Ahead of upcoming holidays, there are many opportunities to turn the dark sides of the worship to the light and Glory of God as well as to turn the days that full of emptiness, death, human indifference and hopelessness to the glorious days with Lord.
